At times the AEAWA will host numerous member events such as Continual Professional Development Seminars, Special General Meetings, our Annual General Meeting along with other various membership events.

The AEAWA Annual General Meeting - Friday 15th November 2024

As a member of the AEAWA you are invited to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) Friday 15th November 2024 at the Melville Bowling Club; 592 Canning HWY, Alfred Cove from 18:30-21:00.

Food and drinks will be on us.

The AGM consists of meeting the committee, seeing what the AEAWA are currently working on, along with our plans for the future.

Discussions on workplace issues and resolutions, AEAWA matters, Joint Consultative Committee updates and the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement progress will be provided to the membership.

This is our 10th year of being an Association and your support has been invaluable, as the AEA have now grown into a body that is representing all Ambulance personnel across the state. and the students of our profession.

Respiratory System Symposium - Monday 14th October 2024

Event Details
Respiratory System Symposium. Monday October 14th, 2024 at 17:30. The session will be held at the Sanctuary Golf Resort, Bunbury, with a food and refreshment break @ 7:00pm.

Focus
The respiratory system, its function, and emergency response to respiratory hazards in industrial and community settings.

Key Presenters
Dr. Marten Howes – Director of Clinical Training and Specialist Emergency Physician, Bunbury Regional Hospital and Dr. Andy Challen – Clinical Educator and Consultant Adult Anaesthetist.

Heat Stroke and Wound Treatment Seminar - Thursday 10th October 2024.

Event Details
Heat Stroke and Wound Treatment. Thursday October 10th, 2024 at 16:30. The session will be held at ANZAC House Veteran Central. 28 St Georges Terrace Perth.

4:30pm – Registration, canapes & networking
5:00pm – 6:00pm – Presentations
6:00pm – 6:15pm – Q&A
6:15pm – 6:30pm – Opportunity to continue mingling

Focus
Important information about identifying heat stroke and minimising the risks. Important reminders about increasing the awareness in your workplace of skin cancer and how you can proactively monitor your workforce. A basic understanding of urgent wound treatment and the promotion of the upcoming “Stop The Bleed” program.

Parking is available at the Concert Hall, Langley Park or City of Perth. Starting at 4:30pm, you will have the opportunity to unwind and connect with fellow attendees over canapes and drinks. The presentations will then commence promptly at 5:00pm, with an opportunity to linger and mingle until 6:30pm if you wish.
